The Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle (Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej Zamek Ujazdowski) is located in the rebuilt Ujazdowski Castle from the 17th century. The Ujazdowski Castle was built by Polish King Zygmunt III Waza, August Mocny and Stanislaw Poniatowski. This was the site the Mazovian Princes chose long before the Royal Castle was built. The place is now the Center for Modern Art, it is a national institution. The goal of the Centre for Contemporary Art is described as creation and documentation of art in all its forms. This goal is being systematically achieved through exhibitions, performances, presentations of visual theatre, concerts of contemporary music, showings of experimental films, video art, shows and creative workshops, as well as various interdisciplinary events. Ujazdowski Castle also operates as the Library and Artistic Reading Room, and the Video Library, releasing films of artistic events.

Friday from 12 am to 9 pm
Library and Reading Room open Tuesday thru Saturday from 11 am until 5 pm
